I got a MagicJack for 40.00 one year of service for 20.00 2.4 mhz cordles phone with a second phone from the thrift store for 4.00 64.00 got me a landline with a badass complete house phone system for a year.. WOOT
I bought the magic jack twice and it didn't work! I gave up on having a home phone. There is just no point when I have a shitty cell phone already.
and if you paid $40 and then another $20 for your service you got ripped off. the $40 includes $20 for the magic jack and $20 for the service...last time I checked that was how it worked, not unless they changed it already.
youre right. I never gave them a credit card number or anything. I did only invest 44.00 in this thing. I already deducted 20 from my bank account in my head cuz i expected to give them CC info when i signed up. but they never asked for it. lol thanks for reminding me! that's a way better deal then. it says right on the package, "your initial purchase price includes your first full year of service."
Magic Jack works great. I had it for a while, but it was just an extra line. My cable and internet is hooked up through a regular phone line though, so I ditched the Magic Jack.
I've used this thing for almost a week now, and I must say, that it's so awesome to just be able to leave my cell phone on the charger when I'm home and never have to worry about it dying again. I can't believe I got people to actually start calling my MJ number. Also, I was streaming netflix and had facebook open and when the phone rang, even after the MJ program is minimized and hasn't been used in a few hours, my netflix didn't skip a beat!! that's what I was worried about at first, but I guess the low bandwidth of the phone and the low-cache buffering of the movie are enough to handle it. I say I really like this thing.
