Hello, I am sure this is writen before, unlucky i can not find it. Well, the make a long intruduction very short... I am at the moment, where i finaly got true a lot of hard social bariers to express me as a women, you know, friends, fammily, only work still be a problem right now. so, for that i still need to make a swith. That's why i did not got in to surgery, or hormonal medication. But, that means, that if i go outside like a lady, I can not be that for long, untill i start to face some discomforts If i wake up, and shave me (first elektrical, and then with such a gilette) I still feel a ruf skin over my chin, and if i am one hour later. and you look closely in the mirror, you can spot the little black hair allready comming back. even makeup can not hide them I also tryed to use the hot wet towel to open all pores, but it gives me only a half hour more. So, what did you go get rid of this problem. Thanks for helping me out. xx
Unfortunately if you have dark facial hair, until you get it removed with laser or electrolysis it will always be a problem, find a good foundation and concealer. Try MAC stores, their staff is extremely friendly and helpful to anyone. Also in regards to the chin area, stretching out the skin helps give a closer shave as it forces the hair further above the surface. Next time you shave after going over the chin, give yourself the biggest most ridiculous open mouth smile you can and feel your chin again and you'll see what I mean.
try to appreciate yourself and your body and every part of it. nothing happens just because, and you are probably growing it for a reason
If someone is shaving it, it means that they don't want it to grow. She isn't choosing for the facial hair to grow, so its only growing because it can't be prevented from doing so, not because the individual wants it to grow.
Exactly, you can't rule your body. it's going to keep growing and come back eventually your hair is a gift from existence, cutting it is wrong
But you can rule your body, at least to a certain extent. And it is perfectly possible to permanently remove hairs from any part of your body, including facial hair. Oh, and if you have ever shaved, (which Im presuming you have, unless you look like a member of ZZ Top) or cut your head hair by choice, then you are a massive hypocrite. You're also telling the many women who shave their legs and other body parts that they are "wrong" to be doing so. Also, your type of "advice" has been proven countless times over many years to be completely ineffectual, and in fact highly damaging, for transsexual people. It simply does not work, and merely adds to the person's suffering, and greatly increases the individual's depression, and chances of committing suicide.
cutting your dick off is a lot worse than cutting your hair. But for your information, I don't anymore at all. Or pluck nose hair, or shave in between my eyebrows or apply greasy moisturizing creams to my skin like the rest of you silly white people
Said the white guy. I do nothing I don't need. No soap, no trimming of any sort, other than to keep my face and hair court ready. When that's over, I'm never cutting it again. (A vow I had made before hand, conditional on not needing to cut to avoid a serious decrease in quality of life. Prison is a decrease, as I see it) OP, there's perminant hair removal solutions that don't involve hormones, I think. Pretty sure for under 100 dollars, you need never grow a lick 'o hair on your face again, if you so desire.
Why does one aspect of the body have higher importance placed on it than another? None, other than personal assumptions and prejudices. Besides, you said cutting hair is "wrong", so my points still stand, regardless of if you think "cutting your dick off is worse" or not. You are free to do what you want, but if you're going to try and enforce your ideals on others, don't be surprised if you're pulled up for doing so.
Okej, thanks, for the replay in the beginning of the topic. I can't belive all these other replays joined the conversation. I tought i found a forum where some kind of people could understand someboddy, or at least could show be showing some respect to people who are, well, maybe, a little difference then other people. Well, i think i was wrong again well, thanks for the help. see you, xx
It is a shame that people who clearly have prejudices towards transpeople are allowed to air those prejudices in this sub-forum. It should be a place where such people can recieve support, not have to put up with narrow minded attitudes from people who most likely haven't got the first idea of the issues and hardships that many transpeople face. Or the fact that their own negative attitudes actually contribute to those hardships.
Issabelle I have a very similar problem; naturally my hair grows very dark and very quickly. Even straight after a shave it's still noticeable that I've got the shadow of all the bits of hair just beneath the surface. I can't recommend Charles Fox enough, if you can find a store or a place to buy online. The one I go to is in London. The people there are very friendly and they do some products that are perfect for covering facial-darkness. I use their "Dermacolor Camouflage" which comes in lots of different tones and is very effective. I'm lucky enough to have a brilliant make-up artist as an auntie, and we looked all round for something. It's not too cakey, it's not expensive (a £4 tester would last me at least a couple of months, using it on my lower face and my neck every day) and didn't irritate my skin in any way even with the constant use. They use it for films when they cover people's tatoos! There's also a product specifically called "Beard Cover" although I didn't want to use something with the word "Beard" in it if I didn't have to! Other than that, laser hair removal is great. I've had only two of the planned six treatments (I paid for a course of treatments for £470, it's save-up-able) but the results have been amazing already. The darker and thicker the hair is the better the lasers work, they specifically pick up on the pigment in the hairs, and the thicker the hair is, the more the laser can burn it and destroy the root. It's made such a huge difference to be able to leave the house without shaving or make-up. It's still a bit visible as I've only had two sessions, but it's SOOO much less obvious. Don't worry about the people who don't understand. They've never had to think of what it's like, and I guess they've never met anyone who told them. Not changing who you are, despite those sorts of comments, just makes you more sure you are who you want to be. xx
I forgot to say in my original post in this thread; I've heard tell of hair removal using a standard bic cigarette lighter. I never got it to work quite right. I originally read about it looking for a cheap alternative to razors when I first started shaving and always got horrible acne for a few days after shaving, but that sorted itself out (mostly) as my hair started coming in thicker. But it could be an easy alternative for those of you who need hair gone all the time, if you can master it, and carry a bic in your pocket, it should be more mess free and doable anywhere.
