offspring and sublime

does anybody else listen to these bands? i used to be obsessed with both of them. i just started listening to them again today and it put me in a really good mood :2thumbsup::sunny:

 

Sublime is one of my favorite 90's bands, kind of limited discography with brad though.

I prefer Green Day's 90 stuff to Offspring personally, though I do like some offspring. Tons of other punk I like more like Pennywise, AfI and Social Distortion.

 

i also like pennywise and AFI. girls not grey by afi is one of my favorites

 

Some of my buddies had this party house a few years ago. We had a really great summer where we'd sit around, and ten or fifteen people would all sing "smoke two joints" and "santeria" together in unison while passing it around. Sublime will always remind me of that, and I'll always smile when I listen to it!

Offspring is pretty good. They were always on the radio when I was younger so that always makes me nostalgic as well! Good thread - been a while since I've listened to either band.

I like this thread. It will be a sad day indeed when I tire of Sublime. Was never a HUGE Offspring fan, but I still listen to them every once in a great while. Like GB said - 90s Green Day, Social D, AFI, Pennywise (+NOFX, Bad Religion, Pulley, Millencollin, Suicide Machines, Ten Foot Pole and on and on)... and I will admit, even cheesy ass blink-182 up until Dude Ranch. How about muhfuckin' Operation Ivy!! Man, I miss 90s Warped Tours...

It's fun how bringing out old music can take you right back to that magic spot it always did as a kid

 

Offspring, blah, glad you like them. Sublime, golden.

 

Throw some Bush into the mix and wé'll have a 90's night.

Sublime is, of course, quite awesome, and as I got older my love for them has only grown.

 

i love sublime. i actually saw sublime with rome (minus brad obviously) this past summer. one of the best concerts i've ever been to.
offspring, i don't listen to them much, or own an album, but i don't dislike them either.

all those punk bands are familiar to me, as there was a pretty big punk scene in my town growing up. i didn't really dig punk music too much, but a lot of my friends love those bands (operation ivy, nofx, suicide machines, AFI)

 

Sublime is great, but I fucking HATE the Offspring. They annoy the fucking shit out of me. But I sort of understand why others would like them...? Sort of...

I used to love Sublime but then I downloaded their discography and realised that they have about 10 good songs and then I started to look at those songs more carefully and they weren't even that good. Eh, whatever. Offspring are sick. I liked Blur back then too.

I don't listen much to both bands, I especially avoid listening to the Offspring but I admit Smash was one of my first cd's.
Sublime has some good tunes that never fail at a party

i was a huge offspring fan back in junior high. then they got all poppy and i stopped listening to them, but their old stuff is still good.

sublime is great, but i listened to them way too much back in college so that now i can only take them on rare occasions.
