How would I go about making my IP address appear to be from a different region? Would I need to go through a proxy server from that particular region?

tor is a good application you can speed it up by tweaking the settings also if you have a free system put up a headless server and next step is to firewall tweak tor to your liking and connect to the headless server there are a few things to keep in mind though
