The Qur'an also says that. It says a lot of good things. For example, the votes of two women are greater than one man and that's how they did it since it was written. Women couldn't vote at all until the 70's in Switzerland which is considered a very civilised country. Islam is a very peaceful religion there are just a lot of extremists. It doesn't say anywhere that you have to wear a burka or that women can't drive or any of that shit. It's just the extremists who use religion as a tool to control people.
