So I started my dreads a year and a half ago... I suddenly decided today when I took a picture of the back of my head that I don't actually like the way they look on me. I combed one out a while ago and my shoulder length dreads actually hide waist length hair. Any advice beyond conditioner and patience? Thoughts?

Don't comb them out !!!! Use a crochet hook to tidy them up a bit works wonders :D

I used Tresemme to take out my old set. Just a lot of conditioner and picking at them did the job.

They are already super tidy, I just don't like how they look on me anymore. Ive accomplished the bottom 2-4 inches, ~16 inches to go on 53 dreads!

I had a wobble today, give it a few hours and you'll be happy with them again

i would say don't... i mean, i combed mine out and about a month ago i realized how much i missed them, and now i have to sit through the whole process again.

if you do though, i would get a spray bottle and put a teeny bit of conditioner in it with a lot of water, to keep them wet and conditioned constantly while you're at it. took me about a week at five or six hours a night.

but yeah. make up you're own mind you know what's best for you.

Don't listen to any of these people except me, cut them off completely and make a wig out of them.

Then, you will have the options of shaking them dreads, or continuous head spins.
