I am having blue diamond natural whole almonds in the 100 calorie pack. I am on the second one, but at least I passed up the grilled cheese cause I can't be in the kitchen riight now.
Funny (for now anyway) that you ask! I just made a batch of noodles and combined it with a stir fry: fried tofu jicama sesame seeds broccoli carrots yellow onions green bell peppers ~ good stuff I have been noticing however these last few minutes that I'm starting to feel a bit funny. I am hanging on and hoping for the best...
^^^ they making those with veg oils now? used to eat hydrox [sic?] only for that reason years ago, when my teeth were sound . . . [where did all them holes come from?]
I've been sick and havn't eaten in 3 days except for a piece 'a pie. I'm gonna shower up in a few minutes and hit Subway.
Are you talking about regular Oreos or just these chocolate ones? I haven't seen any animal oil listed in the ingredient listings (on regular oreos), but I'll check again the next time I see them. Anyway, I just heated up my leftover stir-fry.
There was something un-vegan in the regular oreos, probably milk products. But the chocolate ones were clean.
Well I'll have to look at the ingredients listing again... I am sure that at one point anyway there was no dairy products listed. waitaminute! From the Nabisco website: Ingredients: SUGAR, ENRICHED FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR, NIACIN, REDUCED IRON, THIAMINE MONONITRATE {VITAMIN B1}, RIBOFLAVIN {VITAMIN B2}, FOLIC ACID), HIGH OLEIC CANOLA OIL AND/OR PALM OIL AND/OR CANOLA OIL, AND/OR SOYBEAN OIL, COCOA (PROCESSED WITH ALKALI), HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, CORNSTARCH, LEAVENING (BAKINGSODA AND/OR CALCIUM PHOSPHATE), SALT, SOY LECITHIN (EMULSIFIER), VANILLIN - AN ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, CHOCOLATE. CONTAINS: WHEAT, SOY. Oreos contain no dairyproducts. However, they are processed using machinery that does. Due to their kosher certification, they also may not contain any other animal products. hrm... cocoa, chocolate but no dairy... I don't know. I like oreos but I suppose I'm uncertain enough (despite the clear "contains no dairy" statement) to stay away from them.
actually, a "kosher dairy" product can have egg or honey, or vit D from lanolin, or fish gelatin. Parve is a good START to finding vegan, but again, look for eggs/honey/lanolin vit D. (I'm not sure, but IIRC, it was D3) for all of that, oreos are usually vegan, but made on Dairy equipment. before they went kosher, the white stuff was lard based. I grew up on Hydrox for that reason. and to the topic of the thread, salsa and veggies.
There's vegan, and there's fucking bonkers. Your last paragraph falls into the latter catagory, IMO. As for me, I just ate cheese and will be drinking a big fat glass of milk with a large chunk of pork roast in a few minutes.
