Should the Koran be banned?

If you were to ban a book, then you need to ban the religion.... where would it end?

The Qur'an might "incite hatred" as you put it, but banning it will not help at all - think of the millions of believers, I don't think they will just accept it and move onto another religion.

I also have no place for hatred, but it's out there and stopping people from reading the Qur'an will make very little difference to that. Besides, not all Muslims 'kill', and there are also Christians who have commited murder.

 

you do realize that the Qu'ran teaches peace and acceptance right? The Christians have done much worse things than the Muslims in my opinion should we ban the bible... all like 10 million versions of it? By the way the answer is no. The world already suppresses enough freedom lets not go impeding on the what 3rd largest religions literature.

Note: I am from Christian Arabic ancestry, I am a born US citizen, I have 8 years of Catholic education, and I am currently taking a course Arab & Islamic History. Just to justify my stance.

They have never attacked 'mainland Britain' - besides Jews and Christians share a metaphysical relationship!

And in your 'factual pontification' do you know there are 666 quotes of The Koran which incite violence against Jews and Christians!

There have been 13000 fatal killings in the Name of Islam directly instructed by 'The Koran' since 9/11 and that is not including those that actually died in that Islamic attack!

Unlike The Bible or Torah or Talmud - the Koran is alone in being regarded as the 'actual instructions of God' - anyone who has actually read it know this!

As such it incites as Mein Kamph did (which is banned in many countries) - Islam is racist - sexist - and incites genocide - it stands alone in needing being toned down or banned!

islam is a peaceful religion. as is christianity, hindusim, judaism, etc. it's people who use these peaceful religions to incite violence that's the problem.

i sometimes think, though, that the presence of and obnoxiously loud voices of irrational racist idiots like yourself though might in some way influence the arab world to liberalize their cultures (definitely a good thing).

the world hated america's right wing war mongering crap, in response we elected our most liberal government ever. now the world's hating islam and the arab world's crap...maybe there'll be a similar response. look at the revolutions and protests goin on out there
