I liked them when I was in grade 9.... Then I realized their just a kiddie band. I can't take them seriously no matter how hard I try for some reason... I put them in the same group as Marylin Manson and shit, it's all teenage angsty shit.

Here try these on for size, these bands will trigger your demonic instincts.

    UNSANE

Ok, not quite metal, more grindy-core mayhaps, but they'll beat your ass anyway. Turn it all the way up.

Nile are pretty bad live I think. The main singer and the fat guy can't play without looking at their guitars. The bassist is cool though.

First, you need to hear this LoG song if you haven't already.

Shadow Fall, along with Lamb of God and Killswitch Engage, are responsible for creating the American metalcore scene that has since devolved into deathcore, glamcore, and various other bullshit. Still, The Art of Balance is one of the best albums to be produced by this scene. But it was the 2nd metal album I bought, so I no doubt have a personal bias.

They're pretty damn good live from what I've seen. Most metal guitarists look at their guitars while they play, especially Niles kind of shit because there's lots of string skipping and other fucked up shit.

The guys in Cannibal Corpse never take their eyes off their guitars (at least when I saw 'em) and their shit is relatively easy to play.

I'm really not all into metal that much anymore, but I'll still listen to Slayer and these crazy guys from Poland called Behemoth. They are the definition of brutality and talented, and they were absolutely phenomenal live. Mind-blowing drumming and insane guitar solos, they are what every metal band should be. There is an entire list of great songs by them, but here is something off their latest album.

I saw Lamb of God at Gigantour, along with Overkill, Arch Enemy, Opeth, Megadeth, and Into Eternity. They totally stole the show. Although I'm a 5'3 woman who has never lifted a weight in her life, I like to mosh. When some drunk asshole tried to hit on me, I kicked him in the balls. I believe LOG were playing "Bloodletting" while this happened.

What city was this show at?? I was at the DVD filming( you can see me wearing a red collared shirt.)

I have to say Overkill and megadeth were epic! Too bad I didn't see opeth bcuz I was getting overkill autographes.

    It was in Orlando, Florida.

Opeth really dissapointed me, since they only played a few songs: "Windowpane", "Ghost of Perdition", and "The Drapery Falls". I really wanted to hear them play "Bleak", "Demon of the Fall", "Moonlapse Vertigo", and "The Funeral Portrait".

I agree. Overkill and Megadeth were epic, along with Arch Enemy. The mosh pits, however, were surprising weak, so I headbanged throughout. Only LOG had a good mosh pit. :punk:Boy, my neck was sore for days, but it was worth it!

I know, but still. I did not think about it at the time. I just wanted to see them kick ass. The time limit did not occur to me. I was naive.
