That's cool. People nowadays are brainwashed into thinking their natural appearance is ugly. To me, organic beauty is better than artificial beauty. This applies to both pale and dark people. Yes, I did say that tans look unnatural on pale people, but I also think light skin on a naturally dark-skinned person is pretty odd, as well.
As I said earlier, I have been told I resemble Emma Watson. I, personally, don't see it, even in the photohraphs I have on my profile. But Emma Watson looks like a child, you're much prettier, lol. Never been a big fan of her... I honestly think she is one of the most beautiful actresses out there, even though I'm not fond of the Harry Potter books and movies. (I'm more into The Lord of the Rings, but that's another story). This partly due to her girl-next-door look. People such as Angelina Jolie, Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, or Beyonce honestly look fake and plastic to me.
I just stumbled on this thread and it is interesting to me. I don't particularly "like" my skin tone, because it isn't pale enough to have that "Classy Pale Brit" look to it, nor a "Sun-Kissed-Sicilian" look. I do have blackish-brown hair, so pale or olive skin would probably look nice. Instead, I have skin that is a strong beige-cream color when not exposed to the sun. It looks very good when even slightly tanned, however. Then, it simply looks like Mediterranean skin-tone. People have thought I was Portuguese or Greek when it is not winter (I am English/Irish). The skin on my face, arms, and legs (below the knee) stay a decent beige-olive color all year from repeated sun exposure. So, in conclusion, I try to get a low-moderate amount of sun exposure when I can to keep the beige-cream away. I don't burn, so, even though it is not in good health, it isn't terrible. In terms of ethnicity, I often see my skin color in people from France, Northern Italy, and Switzerland descent. And, like me, it goes with my green eyes and blackish-brown hair. I find the "classy pale" and "olive" both beautiful. Just a shame I'm in the middle. Me in December- so about average in skin tone for me.
Mmmm. It looks delicious. I would love to taste it. I'm talking about the wine, of course. lol Seriously, though, that does look like a very healthy skin tone, especially combined with the dark hair. Also, I think it looks pretty classy, even if its "in the middle".
If you were an actor, you'd be that guy who always gets cast in sci-fi movies as the nerdy side-character who ends up discovering something just in time to help save the world.
If only everyone could love their natural beauty, too. I honestly hate the idea of fake, or artificial beauty too. It's sickening.
I've got fair skin, not super pale though, and I have freckles. I wear sunglasses and sunscreen every day here as the sun is evil and UV is extreme even on cloudy days. It sucks, you burn after about 10mins in the sun. I've tried to take care of my skin but my genes are for freckles and this is the worst place to live if you don't want skin cancer!!
i was hanging out with some dudebros last night that aren't really dudebros, more like redneckish but still kind of cool, and they made fun of this girl for getting a tan. i lol'd
