I study maritime history, the Lusitania was not purposely sunk. The NYT didn't run ads in its paper telling Americans not to sail on the Lusitania, the German embassy put the ads in the paper themselves on all shipping listings, in fact here's the listing


Also the Zimmerman telegram was very real(and specifically sent to Mexico in response to the fact the German government was aware of the fact resuming unrestricted submarine warfare again would carry a great chance of the US declaring war) and the Lusitania was just very much still in the public mind, the last straw was when Germany declared it would resume unrestricted submarine warfare, and it wasn't until after another 8 American ships were sunk, including another passenger liner with the loss of over 100 American lives that Wilson finally went to congress and ask for a war deceleration.

Truth be told if you don't declare war by that point you don't deserve to be leading a nation.

What I don't understand is why throw the Lusitania into there when the rest of in fact actual hoaxes

 

because all of the greatest hoaxes in history have served one end; the humiliation and degredation of the german people and nation

You dont need to be aggressive when you have the truth on your side, you can be cool and relaxed.
Its only stupid to claim that mass media and official history always tell 100% the truth. That is stupid. I just pick out some of the most famous hoaxes...
