So this girl I've been seeing was diagnosed with severe cervical dysplasia and went through the LEEP procedure. Her doctor did not state she ever had HPV and she cleared all her PAPs tests. But I've done some reading and it seems most cervical dysplasia is caused by HPV. She's been very open with me on having multiple sexual partners, many without condoms and she had chlamydia many years ago but got it cured right away and hasn't had any recurrences with any other STDs. My concern is that apparently HPV is hard to detect with STD testing and most people, particularly men, will never have any symptoms to indicate the infection. Apparently the stats on HPV is that 80% of American women will get it in their lifetime. Should I just accept that I probably have it and it's not that big a deal, and secondly, should I start wearing condoms or is it pointless now?
