Hello to you Teri! I've never been to Newfoundland or any other part of Canada. I have lived in Maine twice though. The closest I've been to you would be Bangor, Maine. As for the winters? I know the feeling. We've had a bad winter here in Connecticut, too. Anyways...welcome to HIP! You're gonna love it here!
The thing about your island I can never adjust to is that weird half hour time zone thing, meaning you're 1 1/2 hours ahead of me. As for other parts of Canada, my three siblings have all been to Montreal. My twin has also been to Quebec City and Toronto, passing through Hamilton, Ontario on his way there. All of my distant trips have been by flight. Those include Chicago (twice), Columbus, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana, Nashville, Tennessee, Tampa, Florida and the Raleigh, North Carolina area. I've also been to the airport in Orlando, Florida to change planes or to make a stop.
