If you're into foreign films, I recommend this one. Akira Kurosawa was one of the best Japanese directors. It's not just one movie, but 8 short movies that focus on war and the downfalls of nuclear power, and becoming one with nature, plus a lot of other cool shit.

That's another title I've got on my list of pictures to see. In the past, I've had a love-hate relationship with Kurosawa's pictures. I thought Rashomon was above average. Seven Samurai was just a bit too long, but I'm definitely willing to give it another chance. I hated High and Low the first time I saw it but loved it the second. The Hidden Fortress is my favorite picture of his. And Ikiru had some absolutely heartbreaking moments but, altogether, left me a bit cold.

I truly believe he is aquired taste. A good filmmaker, just not one of my favorites.

Despite the history I have with him, I'm looking forward to trying out Dreams.

    Has anyone else seen it?

Dreams is on my Netflix queue because my Film teacher last semester recommended it. I should be getting it within the next few weeks. I'm not familiar with Kurosawa's films, so I don't really have anything to base an opinion on. I'm looking forward to seeing it though.

You should also check out Ran, another great kurosawa film.
