I really didn't like the beginning. Both the drums and the beginning piano sounded extremely amateur and thrown together. You really should polish your work more; and maybe give yourself some time (a couple days at least) and come back to it with fresh ears. After that it got a lot better, and you had some good atmosphere; but it wasn't my taste.
Agreed on the drums. And the piano became really annoying after awhile... I would polish the drums and add some interesting breakdowns to spice it up a little bit. Also beats this slow are really not my forte.
i concur about the beginning. it seems slow, jaunted. maybe just not my type of music sounded like background music for a movie/ tvshow. then again, i cant make my own songs, so props for that.
I don't spend very long on my tunes. Usually about five hours so that's why they're not that great :sunny: Thank you for the feedback
I can understand that if it's just a relaxing hobby; but parts of the song show skill and I think you'd be able to make some pretty groovy tunes if you put a bit more work into it. No formal training I'm guessing?
My brother showed me how to make a drum beat and that's about it. Here's his work http://soundcloud.com/falterdubstep He's been making beats for three or four years now. I just started making 'em four days ago and I just kind of do it for fun. I want to make tunes rapid-fire until I find my "sound" I'm close....I think But yeah, when I find it I'll start putting work into them
Your brothers' show a lot of base skill, but I think your style is much more listenable. Your sounded amateur at parts, but intriguing at others; his sounds pretty good, but boring. (Warp Core is pretty cool though)
