Tell me your plans for the evening, while I try to finish my paper.

(this 4 image limit is really not letting me express how happy I am)

Anyone that has much fun at college is there for the wrong reasons.

My plans are to hopefully do my programming assignment so I don't have to tomorrow; and then read comics and/or watch movies.

Is anyone at college for the "right reasons"?

You have invested interest ($$$$$$$$$) so you're obviously there for more than ~education~ otherwise you wouldn't pay so much for a degree that is supposed to help you earn more money, you'd just sit in on classes and expand your mind and do psychedelics on the weekends.

But I'd rather not talk about right/wrong, etc.

I'd like people to post pictures mostly.

I think what I meant by "right reasons" has been lost in translation, going for a degree is the only sensible reason; education is basically free thanks to libraries and the Internet.

    Hello,

do they excruciate you with functional programming? Or is that old fashioned now and only the MIT folks stick with Scheme ;)?

It's all about Object-Oriented programming where I'm at.

Functional programming is basically known as pure academia.

    Hello,

at the time I gave lectures at the university we were on the transition to OO. Nowadays it's mostly OO. The funny thing is, that it influenced how I do imperative programming or even low level stuff in assembler now. As a student I hated functional programming, List and Scheme and that stuff. I hated it passionately. I understood, that it is good to understand certain concepts, but I hated it anyways :). I wouldn't say that we are friends now, but usually I write a few lines of Lisp every fortnight or so.

    Regards
    Gyro

I've never heard anyone actually say that they love college lol

..I hate it so much that I can't stand it and stay in only for the reason of deferring a small loan and not being the biggest failure/disappointment in my parents life, aside from some other things.
