What the hell do you use to clean it? Of course, you have the classic toothpicks and paperclips, but I find that if its really clogged they don't help too much or can even get stuck in there.

In one of mine I had, the toothpick was about the length of the piece and it got fully stuck in there, it was impossible to get out.

The absolute best thing I ever found was an allen wrench about the perfect diameter to fit in and it was longer than the piece, so you just push everything out and pull the wrench out (its L shaped, so it doesn't get stuck)

I've long since lost my handy piece, so does anyone have an idea what else is good to use? I've looked around to replace my allen wrench, but I can't find any the right size. Also: does anywhere sell them singlely and not in sets?

Check an ace hardware or other hardware store, the might sell singles.

If you have a Harbor Freight near you, you can buy a set that most likely will be cheaper than a single wrench.

Or have you tried heating up the paper clip and slowly cleaned out the area?

I use bobby pins to clean mine, when you unfold them they're a perfect length to clean out a one hitter. Just take off the plastic piece on the end, that can get come off and get stuck in there sometimes and doesn't taste very good to smoke haha

I tried everything on my extra clogged ones, I eventually just went out and bought a new one. Which wasn't so bad because both of my old ones were pretty mangled.

Iso-alcohol and a q-tip have always done the trick for me. I like to clean my one hitters after every use, they are more effective clean.

If its really dirty I would just soak it in Iso-alcohol while I'm at work then pick at it with my dentists tools and a q-tip.

i always use a toothpick.. a needle.. or a piece of an old wire hanger.. the possibilities are endless... just find something long and no thicker than the hole.. really.. if you cannot figure this out on your own.. i think you have issues

Thanks for reading and understanding my post. :p

I've done that a few times, I absolutely love using isopropyl alcohol to clean my glass pieces. Works like a charm

this is a potsmokers forte. it goes like this:
"i need a poker, my pipe is clogged."
looks for suitable nearby item, paperclip if its a shaped pipe, skewer out of the kitchen, etc.
clean til its 'clean enough to smoke out of again

ta daa. for deep cleaning i use alcohol. for straight pipes usually a qtip or paper clip. occasionally i have these pipe cleaners (not the arts and crafts ones, these actually have hard bristles interspersed in the softer ones) that work really well for small narrow pipes, but you still have to dislodge the clogged part first.
