It is an extremely dark day for New Zealand today. Early this afternoon another earthquake hit Christchurch- this time round, I'm very sad to say we have lost a lot of people. The count is at 65 confirmed dead- but many, many more are to be confirmed as there are whole office buildings flattened and many more buildings still on fire. This quake was on a completely different fault line to the quake that hit last september- this one much shallower and we have called a state of emergency now. We all have friends and family down there- its fair to say this will be the biggest natural disaster to hit New Zealand in our history- and unfortunately for us- we live on fault lines. What we do to our world- what we do in this world, its something to think about- we have lost a lot of people today- and as the tole rises- I can say on behalf of our nation- were are all broken hearted. Christina.
Damn, I hadn't heard anything about that. Do you know anyone who got hurt/killed? I'm glad you and Scar are okay, at least.
we cant get a hold of anyone down there- there is only internet and texts available- the whole country is off telephones by request so that the lines are free for those in christchurch- most money machines are down over auckland- the power went off here a couple of times today- auckland is made up of over 100 volcanos- if the quakes were to start up here- the island rangitoto (volcano) would be the first to errupt- wiping out our city for sure- crazy times man.

Well I hope nobody you know got hurt, and hopefully not as many people are dead as they're expecting. I'm thankful none of these big quakes hit Auckland. Christchurch can't catch a break though
thanks love. unfortunately the footage gets much worse later on in the day- ill try keep yall posted. tomorrow night were a group of us are gathering in the city to do some impromptu busking on the street- alot of us cant donate blood since were tattooed and smokers- but we can make music- pretty fucking shaken up- brian- i miss you.
crazy was just reading a NZ drug bust here b4 I viewed this thread originally, and I didnt even notice the quake.. in my defense I opened the site from another sites story outside the main page. http://www.stuff.co.nz/4688231/Deaths-destruction-in-Christchurch-quake 1 to 36 still photos.
Arlandis posted on Facebook yesterday and he's alright, too. Wow, man...I don't even know what to say. What chaos...
i believe arlandas is from christchurch so im glad to hear hes alright- yet to hear from my friends- im sure i will in the next day. much love to everyone- good to see the US UK taiwan- japan and many other countries are heading over with aid- god you know- i just cant explain what this means to us as a country. it hurts real bad. have a good day everyone-
I am so sorry for New Zealand, such a beautiful fun place and the people are the best... Bright Blessings Be....
Terrible. It was a very shallow earthquake with an epicenter right underneath the city. My heart goes out to the people down there.
In my own way and place I'm praying for you guys...whatever energy can be sent, will be sent...Man I'm so sorry you guys are hurt.
thank you to all- your support does not go unrecognised- now 75 are confirmed dead- and 300 are listed as missing- they have abandoned the 50 people crushed in a flattened 5 story building as it is too dangerous to go in- today a group of us who cant give blood busked on the main road of auckland city- and raised a couple of hundred- tomorrow again- keep sending the good energy- we need it more than ever love muchly christina
