grew up in Lakewood/ Jamestown. I'd like to visit but I'll never live there again... I really want to take a week trip and hit up N. Falls, Arkwright Falls, Chautauqua/ Mayville Gorge, Chautauqua Lake, and that ski resort in Ellicottville... damn what was it called? It has a separate place to go snow tubing. Crap! My childhood memories are fading!
I've felt the same way, but whenever I spend extended periods of time outside of nyc i get extremely frustrated with how slow life moves. Like when you wait on line for 30 minutes at the supermarket because the cashier is making small talk with all the customers instead of scanning their groceries, or when you're stuck behind someone driving 6 mph down a single lane road. Despite all the stress and noise and pollution I'd still rather live here an anywhere else. Well maybe there are a few places I'd rather live. The Caribbean would be nice... lol
