Has anyone ever tried to make one? I just got diagnosed with adult onset asthma so I have to give up cigarettes and I really shouldn't be smoking weed either. I can't afford to drop a hundred bucks on a vaporizer right now so I thought I would try this: http://www.build-your-own-vaporizer.com/ it looks pretty simple. Just wondering if anyone else has ever tried this
when I dry buds in the microwave I made this little contraption to hold in the steam from the buds.. worked pretty good, but not really where you get more than a few tasty hits.. ima find an old microwave and put a pound of fresh bud in their/ close off the vents so the air is forced out in one place and wallah .. the kitchen counter vaporizer will be invented... :"D
I've made lightbulb vapes; they suck That looks much better. Oh, and condolences, and good luck with the smoking; keep your reasons in mind, and stay dedicated and it will come.
don't get me wrong, that's great for a home made vape, but those type (where you place weed on a hot metal plate) kinda suck. maybe you can look into cooking with weed. just sayin...even the best vaporizer on the market doesn't really give the same type of buzz as smoking, so a sub par vape is pointless IMO.
oh my. i owe you one. i'm not supposed to be have to much smoke due to a recent surgery, but you totally just reminded me to make a vape! This one looks pretty difficult but lightbulb vape always works.
Great suggestion. If you live somewhere where you can do this, and can afford the bud to do this; do this.
this is a simple solution that can be safe and effective if done right http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=417255&f=227
I'm definitely going to be doing some cooking but I like the ritual of smoking as well awesome thanks! that should hold me over until I can buy or make something else
I have come across some anecdotal evidence that smoking weed may be even beneficial for you if you have asthma. None of the stories I briefly read, said that smoking weed negatively effected their asthma. So you may not have to resort to a vaporizer or strictly edibles.
tobacco smoke made me so weak dude.. really I can smoke a joint and run around the block 2 times easy.. I couldnt run around the yard after smoking tobacco.. Cannabis always makes me wanna exercise too..
although i would not say its definitely good for asthma i dont think it necessarily makes it worse. i had bad asthma as a child and havent had any problems with it since i was maybe 14-15 and i started smoking cannabis regularly when i was 13
that being said the only way you can know for sure is to smoke while having an asthma attack and see if it makes it worse or better (with your real asthma inhaler on hand obviously), which is not something i ever thought of doing until now
Not to knock on regular vapes, but vaporizing hash oil is the way to go/it gets you way higher than smoking ever could.
I've been meaning to look that up, I vaguely remember reading something about how smoking weed can actually help asthma. I woke up last saturday morning unable to catch a breath at all, spent the entire morning in a panic, then hit a one hitter because I figured it couldn't make it any worse and it would at least calm me down a little. It hurt my lungs like crazy but afterwards I was able to walk around a little bit without getting winded. I didn't really associate it at the time with the weed i smoked but there may be something to that.
I have asthma and I find that the hot dry vapor makes it worse. I bought a cheapo box vape and hooked up a bong to it and filled it with ice. It helped a lil but just smoking from a bong hurts me less actually. I just have to take little puffs.
well I am doing what the doctor told me. I haven't smoked cigarettes in 4 days, i havent smoked weed since that one hitter I mentioned, but I just figured using a vaporizer would be a safe alternative. I'm going to use edibles most of the time but I figured I could safely hit a vaporizer every once in a while without any negative consequences
