CAIRO (Reuters) – Two Iranian naval ships will sail through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean on Monday, a Suez Canal official said, in what will be the first passage of Iranian naval ships through the canal since 1979.
Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has described Iran's plan to send the ships through the canal en route to Syria as a "provocation."
The official said the vessels would arrive at the southern mouth of the canal in the Red Sea's Gulf of Suez on Sunday. They would enter the canal in the northern convoy on Monday morning and complete the journey to the Mediterranean by evening.

From what I've read, they already made it to the Med, during a sandstorm. Egypt and Iran are playing a game pretending they haven't gone thru yet...

Right, nothing war-mongering or racist of Iran when Achmehinjad hosted an international conference on Holocaust denial, and said Israel should be "wiped off the map"

    *edit*
Seriously how is the Israeli foreign minister calling this proactive racist in the slightest bit. If he had said "Damn filthy persians" then maybe it would be.

Not if he meant the borders should be redrawn to the way it was before, which is the only intelligent interpretation. If he meant it should be blown up, as the media would have you believe, I would think he would have said so.

And tell me how in either way it's not extremely proactive to say a country should vanish from existence. No other national leaders saying that about any other country, and there are nations who have worse relations than Israel and Iran.

Countries have been saying it all the time. Countries wanted the USSR to be wiped off the map, and Yugoslavia, as well as the Holy Roman Empire. Israel is saying Iran should be attacked, which is much stronger than saying a national entity should dissolve. I will agree it is proactive, arguably they should just stop occupying foreign lands and discriminating based on race and religion.

It seems to me, with nothing to back it up...That the world is drifiting more and more towards hatred and mistrust of each other.. I cant really put a finger on the why, if its mislead people or fed up, perhaps a combination..But peace from the gun only brings a feeling of safety to the mighty, not peace to the masses..
