Had a good old skate the other day. Something I don't do often. My mate filmed me manualing down bournemouth high street so I guess I'll share it with you guys

not sure what was more impressive, the manual or the bearings :mickey:

i used to skate a number of years ago, was good on ramps, and flipping the deck, but was hopeless at grinding and manuals

the best trick i ever managed was a 360 flip into a board slide down a funbox. problem was i fell on my ass at the bottom. i bought a deck last year, might have a crack at it tomorrow, still enjoy the sport.

I used to skate a bit a while back. Every now then when I get the chance now. Usually end up longboarding when we go out lately cause I'm getting old.

I think there's a fool around here somewhere that can tear some shit up.:afro:

couldn't see the video but I think it's just my phone. I'm sure it will work if I try it another 7 times. Manual variations used to be my favorites. I remember the first nose manual I landed haha I shrieked like a like a girl at usher concert. Kinda took away from the whole thing.

Mice manual skills mang. Faster is better :D

heheh, mostly what I tear up are my shoe soles skating in crazy downtown traffic. I'm planning to get some serious downhilling in on my speedboard next week... hopefully the weather is in my favor. Hills/streets, curbs, bowls, quarter pipes, and banks are what I like to skate these days. I don't jump down stairs anymore because I like having knees that work. Hail skatan !

I just got back into it, it's both easier and harder to do barefoot but I've almost got ollies and kickflips back

I've ollied barefoot... I can't really imagine what flipping would feel like.

I reset the puck on my slide glove today and made another glove with a smaller puck. I also got myself a bastard file and used that to round off the sharp corners and edges from where I cut the cutting board.

Then I got my soft-wheel-slide on. It was sketchy because I still haven't gripped the deck yet, but I was going decently slow on a real gradual slope. It felt good though. I'm going to grip it some time in the next couple days, then it's gonna be game on.

Thanks guys. Yeah the bearings are Bones Swiss Ceramics. If I had more speed I reckon I could do the whole hill. The road is real shitty and it slows me down baadly. And skating in barefoot is mental man I can ollie but it's not pleasant!

skating drunk is really fun for just that reason... and your body is looser

It's MORE fun if you already know what you're doing though :D
