Anybody ever have tree frogs come in on your house plants when you bring them in for the winter. I've got a few little Spring Peepers hanging out but I'm worried about what they're gonna eat. Anybody got any suggestions for feeding these guys? They're great company in the middle of winter sitting in the plant room and singing about spring.

yes, they vary in size the crickets should. . Little brown ones , to very large black one. they may even have some other teeny bugs .. depending on the frog , some could eat ground meat from a tooth pick , just a sliver on it.. you could try that before running to store.

Yeah. I could do some hamburger, that might be about the right size too. I wondered about some of the dried up bugs that collect on the inside of light covers...don't know if they have any nutritional value but they ought to be like jerky or dried meat...maybe

OK, me an' the frog both thank you for the ideas

I catch frogs from time to time. I only keep them for a few days though. . I miss the days of live animals and fish tanks. but so much work they are.. :(

At the nursery i work at when i first started working here, four years ago, it would be a common experience to find lizards in the houseplants as we unloaded them. I wondered if any ever made it into customers houses.

Might be best not to interfere with wild animals' diets. It's different when you have pet frogs raised by hand and they are used to eating what we feed them. You shouldn't worry about them going hungry, they'll find their tucker, they know how to best after all :)

Perhaps just ensure you have moist areas for them to keep their skin from drying out.
