here's my garden sunflowers from last year.

Wow, really nice colors... I like how it's a little darker and subdued than you might "traditionally" paint sunflowers.

 

Thanks. I really can't say much about the colors because that is what I pulled out of my paint box and thought would be appropriate for what I saw.

 

Great work! It's almost got a creepy feel to it! (In a good way ) The familiarity of a painting of sunflowers is skewed by the color choice and light quality giving me the feeling of being lost in an unfamiliar world. I feel like I'm delving into it, though when I look at your painting.
