Fuck Valentine's Day

Valentines is the most retardedly selfish holiday of them all. Everyone rushes out to buy overpriced, un-thoughtful crap they don't need. Like roses, "I love you honey, here have this plant I murdered that is sure to shrivel and dry up soon." Why not get someone a live rose, like in the dirt?

Imagine what we could accomplish if instead of buying bullshit we don't need every year we put that money towards something that actually matters

 

Yeah...fuck valentines day. If you love someone, or have a sweetheart just show them love and respect everyday.
While we are at it fuck xmas too.

 

i;ve noticed that shit when i walk into a walmart or something randomly and see tons of bullshit holiday themed candy, cards, or what have you. the only reason we keep that shit around is probably to keep products moving.

on the other hand, they usually come with candy, and i LOVE CANDY!

 

i saw bags of hershey's chocolate being sold the other day for 10 dollars, and they weren't even oversized bags. 10 dollars for freakin hershey's chocolate..ridiculous!

 

Damn. I work in a chocolate shop so I am definitely biased but you couldnt pay me 10 bucks to eat a bag of herseys, that's awful

hah, i wait until after the holidays, unless its something they'll run out of. hubby is a sucker for cadbury eggs, i like to buy a lot of the candies i really like around halloween, because the mixed bags never have enough. like almond joys, kit kats. i love candy. chocolate, chews, lollipops, necco wafers, twizzlers, you just cant keep candy in this house. thats one reason i bake breads and rolls and muffins and things like that, its somewhat better for you, and a hell of a lot cheaper. and fresh bread is such an easily achievable luxury.

this is gonna be the first valentines day that i've ever done something for someone else...but yeah, it feels weird being it's almost a pressure that i need to do something.

part of the reason me doing something is because it's just escalating. i probably wouldn't do anything otherwise
