And yet cannabis, which kills NO ONE, is illegal worldwide and in a category with the most harmful drugs on the planet... But there's profit to be made from prohibition (and jobs!).

I was thinking the same thing, that's why I posted it. It's always about the money.

Its very sad. I wish my friends mom was a stoner, the bottle took her at 39. Im also really scared for a friend of mine right now, no control of drinking. Since so many corporations make money off of his sickness its ok to be a drunk. Too many people benefit from the sick and dying.

Perhaps alcohol kills more because AIDS is just a bunch of lies. A made up disease designed to make money selling lethal drugs.

    Perhaps not...
But I've always believed that AIDS was nothing more than a "Tax" on fucking.

It can be done, I used to partake of alot of alcohol and it wasn't a good mix. I made the decision to quit and haven't touched a drop in 15+ years now. Not easy at first as my wife still enjoyed drinking.

    Heres the full report.

I agree with you in principle,

I would that in this study, the number of deaths isn't simply alcohol intoxication or liver cirrhosis, but also includes DUI deaths, suicides and homicides committed while under the influence of alcohol.

I don't think you could dispute that their are some deaths from auto accidents caused by being very stoned, and driving while under the influence of any drug is a bad idea.

Uhh.. no. If they wanted to make up a disease they would have made up something a lot simpler than this:

I do greatly enjoy ethyl alcohol though.

  15. Smoking fall into the same category. Governments will not ban it. There's too much tax revenue at stake. What pisses me off is statistics are constantly being churned out on deaths due to alcohol and tobacco but they don't mean shit if measures are not taken to prohibit their use and that's not going to happen!

That's the truly sad thing. Money always comes first, people second.

Cannabis who's rewards far out weigh the risks stays illegal and alot of money has been spent to keep it that way and no one wants to be the first to admit we've spent billions on a losing battle.

Alcohol which has caused untold tragedy stays fairly untouched and it should be that way. I can't hardly say cannabis should be legal but alcohol shouldn't. But damn we tried prohibition and discover that wow it created a black market and crime and everything that goes with banning something that the people want. So that ban was repealed.

When is the Federal Government going to realize that cannabis use is the same for alot of people as alcohol is for others, and is far safer.

Sorry if I went off topic slightly, just ranting.

Not to mention second-hand tobacco smoke. I hate the smoke I experience in public. It's hard to breathe and the smoke seriously sticks to you like nothing else. It's even worse than first-hand smoke, because it comes from the end that's not filtered. And yet if cannabis was legal and people smoked that instead, there'd be no second-hand harm. The only thing one could complain about is the smell, and that's a subjective thing. I like the smell of cannabis.

Seriously topsy-turvy with tobacco being legal and cannabis not.

And well with alcohol, no surprise. Not the first time I've seen an article like this, but the more that come out like this the more people will see them.

Off-topic-OOH! 200 posts! HAT TIME! :hat:

Oh, and I forgot the party.

Tobacco is a drug, and it's very dangerous to your health, but it's not really a "drug". You don't get intoxicated from it, I always find it pretty useless when weed and tobacco are brought up in the same argument, the only thing similar about them is that they're both smoked, apparently that's enough for stoners.

Well if you inhale through the nose you basically get an instant nicotine high and a headrush from space.
