Dusk: New Dutch Porn TV Station for Women

    The Netherlands has always been on the cutting edge of erotica, hence Amsterdam's famed XXX logo is also known for pornography. And now the Dutch media which gave us Big Brother the TV show, has now launched a TV station broadcasting pornography targeted at women.

    Dusk, as the new cable TV is called, is on 24/7, bringing real sex into the homes of Dutch women. It turns out that women do enjoy watching pornography, but it has to be "realistic" for them. So actors must perform as expected, leading to a climax in every episode...

    When I lived in Amsterdam, there was a station that would broadcast an erect penis coming over and over (for hours!). That's the kind of media they have there...

    Oh, that's all so sad! I've never understood the fascination for watching other people fucking. I did see a little bit of a porn film a long time ago and all it did was have me rolling about laughing so much there were tears running down my cheeks. Oversized breasts and penises, ridiculously false moans of ecstacy and very bad plots and camera work - the dutch are welcome to it!

    Lol Etherea - I'd hope that this new station avoids all that. That's the problem that I have with pornography, as well. Oh, and I hate how the camera zooms in on snatch and balls. We don't want to see that, porn directors! But like Skip posted, it's supposed to be more realistic so I'd imagine it would have less of that.

    Since nearly half of the worlds population is women, I'm really surprised that there isn't more widely available realistic porn for the ladies.

    From what I read, it seems the Dutch are trying to do it tastefully. I think that's what women want from porn. No medical/money shots, just a bit of romance first, then foreplay and a long sensuous fuck.

    I think women want to engage in some fantasy with their porn. Men just want to see everything. So women will fantasize that the man in the video is doing them, not the actress. Although many women will get off on the woman in the porn too.

    Am I right?

    Skip, in my opinion, you're right on with everything you said.

    Not all of us need the romance part of porn, but even the hardcore and fetish stuff can easily be done in a more appealing manner. I think that's why a lot of us turn to erotic literature instead - it's more about the subtle physical stimuli and emotional reactions. All very important.

    I'd imagine that the "plot lines" would be a bit more developed, but hopefully still to-the-point. We definitely want to be able to relate, and seeing women actually enjoying themselves would be a great start. :D

    I know I'm totally boring, but I just don't get the appeal of porn. But maybe this Dutch stuff will revolutionize the industry and make it appealing to someone like me.

    I doubt it! I can't imagine me being interested no matter how well or realistically it's made! If your not into it, your not into it!

    Yeah, that is probably true. But it would be nice to have some porn that was appealing for women who do like it
