Canadian whisky is highly regarded worldwide, right up their with top Irish and Scottish whiskies. We have single malt whisky too.
I eat Tim Horton's almost everyday for breakfast AND lunch. I actually went to go see an NHL this season (really hard season tickets are sold out for 8 season) Oh yeah and I live in Quebec the original Canada!!!
Have you ever had it? Poutine is mind-bogglingly delicious, however one should only eat it a few times a year. Quebec by far makes the best poutine in the country, I'd be willing to bet on the entire planet! One morning after a very long night of partying and drinking me and 7 chums packed into a van and drove into town, we were way out in the country, looked like the set of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Our stomachs roared and howled while the leftover sugar of Canadian beer swirled around inside. Then, there to right, all of a sudden like an oasis to a delusional man dying of thirst in the desert, appeared before us this tiny red and white shack, sitting alone off to the side of the road. We all agreed that we must stop and offer a sacrament to our suffering stomachs. They offered poutine, hotdogs, and burgers. We all got large poutines. We stood like rabid fiends as the pudgy man in the window handed us gigantic styrofoam cups full of handcut wedge fries, brown gravy and Quebec's finest cheese curds. We dined like royalty, slurping down the hot triple bypass in our cups. The gravy in the bottom of my cup was like the blood of christ at the last supper. I scraped my spoon across the bottom so that not one drop was in vain. I've never had a poutine that glorious since. I wish I could remember how to get back there, but I can't.
Canadian Club is pretty terrible though. Lets not kid ourselves. The weirdest thing about it is that it gives me terrible BO.
I'm just going to ignore the comment about a certain teeny bopper whom should never again be referred to as canadian... As for the rest... do I need to link a picture of me splitting wood in the snow with no shirt on?
i played a canadian ice hockey team last year and was surprised at how bad they were. nice people though, they liked a good drink.
I always thought Canada was a fictional place. Where I went to high school we were about a 40 minute drive from the border crossing at Port Huron and Sarnia and alot of guys claimed to have girl friends in Canada. We all knew the girls were fictional which over time lead to joke that Canada was a fictional place as well.
Canada is the filter that kept people like sarah palin out of mainstream america.... til someone told her about airplanes...
