Can anyone give me a worst case scenario? Like if I order something that's legal to the best of my knowledge will the dea be sitting outside of my house? Or will they just confiscate it and never let it get delivered?

If it is properly labeled and packaged for lab usage you prolly won't run into a problem. But if whomever you are getting stuff from just slaps it in a bag with 2c(c) written on it that might be a different story. Plain white envelope, printed address, company return address, msds, proper chemical name, cas number, upac number labeled on bag is proper packaging.

but say customs rips it open, will there be an investigation into whether or not I'm a real scientist? Sorry, I realize how noobish these questions sound I'm just used to buying drugs in the safety of the streets and not anything-can-happen internet land

Relax, most officials have no idea what this stuff is, my question is who is driving up the prices, most sites in the US and overseas are selling stuff at outrageous prices. Is it the demand? Or just a bad economy.

I told you back when you joined...

It should be chill, I have heard of people occassionally getting 'love letters' if there stuff gets caught in transit but probably the only way you would get busted is if you were caught with it while under the influence.

Unless you're ordering in kilos of substance I really wouldn't worry about it.. as much as drug enforcement officials hate that you use drugs, it's not really profitable for them to chase you down for your 500mg's of quasi-legal internet chemicals.

Wow, either 500mgs is a very common measurement for all research chems or you just guessed how much I was looking at extremely accurately

FYI No one can open your mail without a federal warrant if you stick to regular post. If you use any courier service they can open it if they like. So stick to regular post. As long as it appears normal and doesn't smell they won't think twice.
