passing the collection plate was abolished in the church here: One the reasons was : Church attendants are nosy, Its not any ones business what you give to the church or what you dont.. / A slot drop box is used now there you cant discreetly put in your donations, during mass, after mass or when you use the restroom to smoke a joint @ 1/2 time..
