Busted have record of the year.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/4069399.stm Pop group Busted's theme song for the Thunderbirds movie has been voted the UK's Record of the Year by the public. The group beat off strong competition from friends McFly, US singer Anastacia and solo star Will Young in a vote to find 2004's most popular single. Thunderbirds was Busted's fourth number one hit when it charted in August. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- i need a special cookie... jaz
britian as a collective have the shitest taste in music known to man i was truely appauld when you showed me that
i watched the program for it...well the results for it... they "played" the thunderbirds song "live" in the "studio"...it was shocking really...
I don't know how many songs were up for this grand prize, but those that made the final round were all rather awful. With that in mind, who really gives a shit - The celebrities and the newspapers will get a bit more cash, but it's pryed from the hands of idiots, which is fair enough. Whoever voted just cost themselves one less ringtone to annoy the rest of us with!
Now I can see that it's little surprise that the record industry is in decline. The amount of times a fortune has been made from flash-in-the-pan bad music is beyond me. I know that I can say for sure Busted's music is bad regardless of mine or anyone else's music taste because I know for certain that even the people who profess to be into Busted's music will no longer be listening to the music they've thus far releases within a year's time. It's a Universal but largely un-written rule: crap music will be forgotten about within a short space of time no matter how good it was considered to be at the time of being released.
