I found a big bottle of Hydrocodone Bitartrate (Extended release?)/Acetaminophen syrup in my medicine cabinet that I had forgotton about. My mum has Cirrhosis of the Liver even though she never drank at all and I have fatty liver. I suspect that Tylenol contributed significantly to the Cirrhosis my mum has, for this reason I'm going to try a CWE on this Hydro syrup to limit the amount of APAP I take. I've done this once before with Hydro pills and it didn't work out all. I took 20 Hydro 10/500s and crushed them up real good, then I mixed them with a half liter of cold water and shook until I thought the Hydro was absolved (My understanding is that the Hydro is soluble while the Apap is not, so it will not completely dissolve.) Then I got a liter bottle and put a paper coffee filter over it and filled the filter with the solution. It took about 3 hours just to drain and I had to do this 3 or 4 times to get all the liquid. When all was said and done I drank all the liquid at once (200mg of Hydro to begin with so I figure I got about 150mg in my body) about an hour later just as I was starting to feel my buzz I vomited black and had nausea for some time, I think that I got to much Apap. Can someone tell me a better and/or faster way to do a cold water extraction or if it is even possible to do with syrup? I have about 6 ounces of syrup and according to the bottle there is 7.5 mg of HC Bitartrate and 500 mg Apap in each 3 teaspoons (15ml?)

I don't see how you can extract the hydro from syrup since the acetaminophen is dissolved as well. If you have liver problems, I'd stick to a low dose of it or just not mess with it at all. That's some good syzzzurp, btw!
