Ive had an old 2c-b pill laying around from about 2-3 years ago that i recently found again & im wondering if its still safe to eat? The pill has gone fairly soft so thats why im unsure if it is still safe to take, any advice would be much appreciated!
it's probably still safe. i've eaten 2 or 3 year old 2cb powder myself, and it was fine. i noticed no ill effects, just weak psychedelic ones. although it's feasible that it could have degraded into something harmful, it's more likely to have degraded into something inactive
Depending on how it was stored, it should still be good. If I had to guess, I'd say it went soft because the binding agent holding the pill together has gone off, rather than the 2C-B. Of course, I'm no doctor, so make of this what you will.
I'd say that if it was a tryptamine or 2C-B was known to breakdown into something hazardous, but it being a PEA, the 2C-B is probably still in decent condition, assuming it was stored properly. And if my guess about the binder is right, I'd still say that whatever resulted from the binding agent crapping out is most likely a) biologically inert and b) and potentially dangerous substances that might have resulted from it's decomposition would likely be a non-issue at the amounts one pill would contain. Then again, I'd lean towards taking it just because 3-5 years will go by at a stretch around here where nobody will be able to get it, so I'd be down for taking my chances with what I have.
