Is regular vinegar okay to use in a deep cleanse?

I know the apple cider kind is fine but is the clear kind fine? My boyfriend says there's still an acid and a base so I should be good but I just want to know if anyone else has done it this way

 

I usually use white vinegar and my hair is just fine.

Apple cider vinegar is too expensive here, which is why I just use white vinegar. No difference in the outcome.

 

Gosssshhh, these rich people who can just rock up to the supermarket and buy whatever, whenever, willy nilly...

Well I did a deep cleanse with clear vinegar and when I dumped everything in it didn't fizz up nearly as much as the last time when I had acv. Split my front 2 dreads in half due to discovering residue in them(which the cleanse fixed) so now instead of the mohawky look they frame my face. I'll update my timeline thread sometime soon, thanks everyone except glen
