I definitely miss the older games. I enjoyed Super Mario, Ocarina of Time, and Donkey Kong 64. If there could just be a way to remake this games with Playstation/Wii graphics, I would be in heaven.

There's no reason they couldn't; 'cept inability to profit.

They are remaking Ocarina of Time in 3d for the 3DS..

I heard about that. I super excited! I've seen the new photos depicting the new graphics. It's anything like Twilight Princess, but it's satisfying.

I'd like to see what real young child gamers think of the video games we folks of Generation X and Y grew up with playing. Of course I bet most of them will be too young to appreciate most of them and they'll grow tired of playing on a 2D playing field.

I don't really care for this gen at all.
I was happy when games were just games, and weren't intentionally trying to shove a "THIS MEDIUM IS ART" message down our throats.

The funny thing is, for the most part, they are less creative than ever; just a lot prettier.

I think Halo: Reach is the best of the sequels because it's the first to realize it's a game =P

Even that is up to debate I think.
The 16 bit era's charming, intricate, and gorgeous sprite work speaks for itself, and I think the N64/PS1's muddled, janky, hazy, and obscenely disproportionate graphics were so firmly embedded into the deep end of the ugly spectrum that they've probably wrapped back around and came out on the profoundly beautiful abstract side.

I love them both equally! I miss how old games relied on logic. They weren't as linear as games these days. You had to think, solve puzzles, and remember stuff in order to proceed. Games these days are so straight forward or they have a idiot proof guide system. That doesn't make me hate them because some of the new games story systems are amazingly submersive not to mention beautiful to look at too.

I haven't gotten a chance to really play it; but Bioshock is amazing.

Lol, I hate Bioshock with a passion.
    Horrible gun-play and fetch-quests galore.

In my book, it isn't "old" if it uses electricity.

Well in my opinion "OLD" games are when games first started coming out (late 70s) and they are so much better than the crap of today!!

It goes both ways for every generation. Its too hard to say one year or decade is better than the other as they have all had great games released during the years. It just sucks that games now days are so fucking expensive.
