Washington state democrat Mary Lou Dickerson filed House Bill 1550 on Tuesday, which proposes that pot be sold to adults aged 21 and up in liquor stores in Washington state.

The bill states that regulation and taxation of cannabis would "generate revenue for health care programs" and "create jobs in the agricultural sector." It recommends that Washington state Liquor Control Boards issue licenses for marijuana growing.

so where can I read the bill? I can't wait to see the insanely long jail sentence people over 21 will get for sharing a bowl with anyone below 21 should they happen to get caught

The bill proposes that anyone over 21 be able to buy/ use cannabis.

In my opinion it's no different than laws against buying booze for a minor, nor should it be.

It tackles the idea of adults using cannabis, the line needs to be drawn somewhere.

If you want legal weed, be willing to give way legally. There's a price for everything.

Its just so simple its retarded, isnt it?....
Ive seen the silliest of store clerks, flip shit when someone is buying something for an under age person.. Its not that difficult to enforce. And Money could go to education and health care....its just that simple.

I don't do middle ground. I like the idea of equal rights for everyone, not just everyone 21 and over

there has been some rumor in the underground here that some the new liquor stores that were built along with some the right aid store, look like a set up to future cannabis dispensaries.. Of course I like helping the idea out the rumor section and try and make it reality. lol. "Yeah, thats a good Idea, why does rite aid sell tobacco when its not even healthy \?., Cant have a one intoxicant society anymore, when everyone is fucked up on something or another. '" .. make sure you buy them blunt now. tobacco industry is the enemy ....... here are a few others...
The PDFA receives its funding from major pharmaceutical, tobacco and alcohol corporations. These include:

    • American Brands (Jim Beam whiskey)
    • Philip Morris (Marlboro and Virginia Slims cigarettes, Miller beer)
    • Anheuser Busch (Budweiser, Michelob, Busch beer)
    • R.J. Reynolds (Camel, Salem, Winston cigarettes)
    • Bristol Meyers-Squibb, Merck & Company and Proctor & Gamble (pharmaceuticals)
    • Dupont (munitions, chemicals, everything)
It is obvious why they focus heavily on illegal drugs in their campaigns. The ads are pure propaganda. In the past several ads have been removed because of blatantly false claims. They currently focus on the amotivational syndrome even though it is not generally accepted by the scientific community. On the abovetheinfluence.com website there is a section called “Stoners in the Mist” which features cannabis users unable to perform even the most basic tasks such as moving, talking, bathing, and even recalling one’s own name. They have taken amotivational syndrome to a new level...

You may need to take your stand again Cannabis prohibition to a new level too..

Does anyone pick up on why they are choosing LIQOUR stores for places to sell weed??? There try to associated DUI with marijuana. Extremely stupid move by pothead try to sell weed.

Once a idiot dies from DUI crash there going to find some weed that was sold from some store in the car that the person died in and then associated stupid choices with weed.

In Washington state, hard liquor is sold in only in state liquor stores. It provides a structure or scaffolding of regulation that is already in place.

Not to mention the fact no one associates a liquor store with DUI, people associate bars with it, no one leaves the liquor store tanked.

Selling thru liquor stores is not a bad idea, alot of the clerical stuff is already in place, I'm assuming they don't hand license's out with out background check. I wouldn't want to be the first to sell to a minor.

I know more kids smoke weed around here because it's harder to buy alcohol.

It's academic anyway, should it pass and make to the point where it's implemented the feds will jump on it so fast you won't see the first bag sold.

Reading what I just wrote I just realized that the liquor store thing is smart for another reason, how many stores will be willing to risk their licenses to sell weed if they know the feds are going to be all over it.

Even if the bill passes, there's nothing to say (I assume) that stores have to sell it. Most/many probably wouldn't out of fear for that.

The Whole DUI thing should amount to smoking in the moving vehicle.. And or the driver fails modified sobriety tests..
not blood test, stupid ignorant governments tried to use this blood testing as a way to scare you. And another redundant hurdle. It in fact, went to show how dumb they make themselves look, for coming up with the blood test idea in the first place. Knowing the drug stays in the system for some time to begin with.
I can assure you. There have been driving fatalities contributed to smoking Tobacco in cars.. So why dont we take the ashtray out.
If you want to smoke in your car, thats your business. But it really makes your car stink anyways..:puke:

I Dream of driving down the Santa Monica Freeway with a Marlboro in one hand and a fifth of Jack in the other..
don't quote me on this, but isnt that Charlie Sheen?.. :driving:
