Anyone ever have this disease?

Bob has shingles. It's a reawakening of the virus that causes chicken pox, and it breaks out halfway around the waist and causes burning pain.
Anyone here ever have it?

 

I was told I had it when I was younger, but I personally don't remember. Sorry I don't really know anything about it.

 

The virus used to be called Herpes Zoster, but now it's almost always called Varicella.
He seems to be in quite a bit of pain and is on antibiotics and painkillers.

 

I have the 'dropped on head' disease

 

I personally have never had shingles but my friend when we lived in Gemany's husband did and he was in some serious pain and he couldn't stop scratching and now has some really nasty scars. So what ever he does don't let hm scratch!!!

I've heard of it, my maternial grandfather had it. Don't know much about it though, sorry.
