well, my favorite holiday memory was getting arrested for being a rioter on July 4 1977, but I guess that's not what you're looking for. as a child, we spent Christmas Eve with my mom's extended family, and it was so loving, never experienced anything like it since. Just family togetherness and lots of love, the way life should be. Going to my dad's family on Christmas day was such an obligation and very stiff and formal. We had to mind our manners and I hated it. Plus we had to cut short Christmas morning playing with our new toys, to go there, bummer. One Thanksgiving during the Vietnam years we had the opportunity to host 2 military people who were away from home on the holiday. It was kind of awkward but made an impression on me too. I remember it anyway.
I have fond memories of acting in and writing several school plays during the Christmas holidays. I was still in school during the year 1975 when I wrote a play about a young soldier who lost a close friend during firefight a few day's before Christmas of 1969 in Vietnam. I never told anyone it was a true story about me and a guy named Tommy.
Peace WE, I am sorry to hear about your friend WE. if that happened to me i would be very sad to. you can keep his heart and life alive by disagreeing with materialistic wars. like vietnam and Iraq (in my opinion). For Christmas i will send you a music cd, pictures of Old Betsy&me, and some other gift a home made gift. i made in welding class at school. i hope your Christmas season is going good. here mine is dong ok. i want to get out and work on old betsy more but my car is in my dads shop and i can only go in there when he is in there. later the tired flower child
