One of my favorite artists if not my very favorite! Most of his stuff was silkscreens. Which I'm thinking about starting. So I thought I'd just show some of my favorite stuff by him... And I'll also add that his very first Factory before the famous one in New York was actually downtown where I live... The building is still there.... I have to go see it sometime. I work at a law firm. I helped one of the lawyers print out some pictures-they are pictures of Warhol art that his is thinking of buying-nothing really interesting-around $10,000. So what is it that you like about Warhol? Would have been amazing seeing his NY factory.
His films where rather out there. Some boring as watching a guy sleeping heh heh. The fact that he didn't follow what the rest of the world was doing was the neat part. Btw film was not cheap back then, you wouldn't film just anything like people do now days. With that many of his films would not be as recognized if made again today.

I went and saw Warhols work at Cranbrook a couple years ago and left angry. I do not like his "work."
I'm not the biggest andy warhol fan My art professor said he chose not to be friends with andy warhol when he met him ..because he did not like the direction in which he was taking art. He was very good friends and worked with keith haring though! Now that guys art is awesome! haha
