Advice for safely receiving green?

Why not go pick it up in your car and just put it in your backpack, then go back to the dorm with the backpack. Student on campus with a backpack= Not suspicious. Whats wrong with under the bed in a box or something? Are the really going into every room checking every fridge and box for illegal material?

 

@Leviathan: I'm not sure how thoroughly they check the dorms I stay in, only my brother's. I'm just being paranoid and want to make sure everything will go smoothly xP

 

I would keep it in your room, just don't smoke indoors. Though as far as I know Texas is a nazi regime when it comes to drug laws, compared to Canada where I'm from at least. Still illegal here and if you get caught I could get kicked out. But they won't ever search my room unless they're sure the smell is originating from my room.

 

I just found out yesterday that the RAs apparently pretty thoroughly check the dorm I'm staying in :/

 

That's such bullshit. No one can enter your house and check it just for shits and giggles, they should have no right to search your dorm unless they have reason to suspect illegal activity.

 

Thats right, they need a warrant to search your home. Problem is the dorm isn't his home, it belongs to the university, so such laws don't apply.
If the Uni says it allows searches to be conducted there isn't anything you can do about it.

 

Yep. My room mate was here last semester and she says they go through your stuff fairly thoroughly. I've been trying to think of places to hide it in my room where they wouldn't think of but I just don't know where they look.

don't post about it on the internet with specifics about what you're about to get and where you live. especially the "where you live" part. anyone from your university could be seeing this and attempt to figure shit out. and you definitely don't want to say who is holding onto your shit for you. you've already said A LOT about what's happenin' - you'd be surprised what could happen as a result. there's some paranoia for ya...

not sure what the texas laws are - or your specific university - but at least with my experiences in college, they need a warrant to search your dorm room (i think). if a cop is knockin' at your door, just don't open it. plain and simple. if it's someone from the university, just don't open it. if they DO get inside somehow, try to be there and just be naked or something. you could claim sexual harrassment (say that you were about to take a shower).

otherwise, be sure not to fuckin' spread word to people regarding the fact that you have all that shit (like you do on the internet). if people see you with something from your birthday package, say that you just got it from a friend or something (and just that little bit). airtight containers are a good idea...

as far as hiding places, look for anything that appears to be solid but could be opened/manipulated. an example is in the dorms that i lived in, there was a storage space beneath the drawers of the desks that were built in there. below the storage area (it was just open to the air via the front) was a solid piece of wood that pretty much connected to the floor. in one of my friend's rooms, he busted that out and it was hollow underneath, giving him a nice little stash spot. or try to create a false wall somewhere.

biggest of all, where ever you keep it, dont have attention drawn to that area. if it's your brother's room, make sure neither he nor his roommate and/or friends are ever smoking or drinking in there. dont give the university or the cops a reason to ever get in there.

Well now I'm super paranoid, hahaha. some of those details were fabricated for convenience sake but I suppose I'll go ahead and delete this. thank yoou.

 

Hide it inside of something that doesn't seem like it should come apart. They aren't going to break your stuff open to look inside. For example an old printer with some of the screws that hold the bottom on taken out and some of the internal parts removed, or a speaker with some space inside, just go to goodwill or wherever you keep your old junk and find an appliance with a bit of room inside that doesn't look out of place in a dorm.
