yea i like hendrix.. did you know he was a paratrooper... Also its funny that people seem to credit his success to america. You know a lot of people get all touchy about how many great bands england produced in that time period... But the experience was born in england, jimi was from seattle.

Also despite what some people believe, he played a right handed guitar but strung it as a left handed guitar, so he wasn't really playing upside down, thats a stupid myth

actually i don't even think he called himself jimi before he went to england, i believe when he was living in the east village in NY he was still going by jimmy james, not jimi.

Laughing Sam's Dice = LSD... listen to the lyrics. Also purple haze was about the same, not about weed.. Jimi did a lot of methedrine too.

Favorite guitar work by him, i like it better than how SRV plays it actually, but SRV is still amazing.

You seem to know a lot. So where did he get the name Hendrix from?
I like listening to Hendrix but have to be in the mood for his music.

He was born Johnny Allen Hendrix his mother Lucille Hendrix named him since his father was in WW2(i think) at the time, When his father got home from the war jimi was longer living with his mother but with relatives, he was 4 years old when his father changed his name to James Marshall Hendrix.

His last name has always been Hendrix, i literally just finished reading the book 'scuse me while i kiss the sky, The life of jimi hendrix by david henderson. Very informative book, there is so much that is unknown to many people the love him. He played with little richard, i had no idea till a couple days ago.
