Smoking by yourself

My dad and I had a talk. He told me that smoking weed by yourself is a "problem". I personally enjoy smoking weed by myself ocassionally and with my friends, the majority of the time. What do you guys think?

Is it a "problem" to smoke by yourself

 

i definitely dont think its a probelm. a lot of people prefer to smoke alone. sometimes you just dont wanna deal with other people when ur smokin and prefer to just relax and smoke a bowl before bed or somethin.

 

I smoke weed with Currently Active Users: 1921 (111 members and 1810 guests)... not exactly alone.

 

It can be a problem, no definitive answer kind of a case by case situation.

To say that "smoking weed alone is a problem" implies that smoking weed is supposed to be a social activity...I honestly don't understand why anyone would think that.

 

I have no problem with smoking weed alone. If I have to work early in the morning, I'm smoking alone, lol.

 

There is nothing inherently wrong with it but people who smoke alone can become fairly socially withdrawn, lazy, lethargic, forgetful etc. who wouldnt otherwise necessarily desire to be.

 

That's true.

But smoking with other people all the time gets draining and unpleasant, it's nice to get high alone sometimes.

 

It's only a problem if you THINK other people are there.

 

but smoking with friends doesnt do that?

Word, like I said a case by case basis. Im not under the impression the kids dad is trying to prevent him from smoking alone and then watch The Wizard of oz while listening to 'Dark side of the moon' to see if it syncs up one time in his life, I get the impression that he's trying to prevent him from sitting on a couch daily playing Pokemon on the wii with a missing nun chuck, orange cheese balls crumbs on his shirt with 3 day old bong water soaking into the carpet.

 

isn't socially withdrawn and smoking with friends a contradiction?

but like smoking with your friends gets ya cheese puffs on your shirt and stuff too. there's responsible smoking and theres irresonsible smoking, and the difference is not to be confused with simply smoking alone or not. and if a certain person is becoming socially withdrawn, i think a parent should adress that aspect, not the smoking aspect.

 

the friends must be pretty crappy friends then, I would hope my friends informed me if cheese ball crumbs were on my shirt.

 

No cheeseball crumbs, playing wii, or old bong water has occured. I'm very responsible, because everytime I smoke in my room, I make sure to close the doors and open the windows

 

I love smoking alone. Its like my thinking time, its theraputic. When I'm stoned and around people I'm so award because all I wanna do is contemplate life and stuff my face haha

I prefer smoking alone but thats just because im really paranoid about getting caught by my parents lol. Not really the law since I try not to put myself it that situation ever due to paranoia lol and i know shit happens.

But I like smoking with my friends just not if im worried about getting caught...

 

Do it most every night. I get the opposite of the munchies-it kills my appetite. edit: I never smoke during daytime. It has to be dark.
