So is my bad acid trip coming back to haunt me, or am I just insane?

    Okay, first off,
    I am rather young.
Probably very young compared to most of you.
    From previous posts,
I've heard a lot about how psychedelics CAN
disarray the mental forming of the young mind,
    and mess with your emotions.

I try to be careful with the drugs that
I experiment with, and I would never risk
    doing anything too serious.
    I've tried several low-dose psychedelics,
but not so many that I would be familiar
with ALL of the different long-term
    and short-term effects.
(Though I do study up before trying anything)

I've only tried LSD blotter twice.
And both times, I took the same amount; just one.
    My first trip was nice.
Actually, in my opinion at the time I thought it was
    lacking in effects.
But it was amazing, and funny, and just another world.

    But on the other hand,
the second time I tried LSD,
I must have been in the wrong state of mind,
because I spent the next twelve hours
vomiting -I have a weak stomach- and avoiding lights and sounds.
That was one of the worst feelings I've ever had.
It accelerated from a nervous dizziness at the very beginning,
turning into nausea and -with a little help from me-
    intense paranoia.

    To get to my point,
Let me just say that I've smoked marijuana
everyday for at least a year now.
    :ssmokeit:
I have reasons for smoking so often
-other than the obvious :) -
I have some stomach problems, and not
many things help my stomach pain, but marijuana has
always been able to edge my belly pain away.
Also, I've got some severe depression.
I don't have any medication yet
-which will most likely change very soon-
    but until I get some,
Weed helps a lot with my issues..
So maybe I shouldn't be such a pothead
at fifteen, but I've got my reasons.

Alright, so all of that being said,
the day after my bad trip, I was still rather
    woozy-headed.
I'd gotten extremely sick from my bad trip.
So when smoking weed made me feel strange that day,
I just figured it was because I'd been so
    sick the day before.

    But eight days later,
    I'm starting to get concerned.
    So whenever I smoke weed,
my head gets this really blank, numb feeling.
I can't think straight, and its just very unpleasant.
It's not intense, I can handle it..
But in my opinion you shouldn't
    have to HANDLE weed..
    It's a pretty easy-going drug, right?

    So this feeling,
its similar to the way my head was feeling when
I was tripping except wayyyy less intense..

    I don't know what to do. :(

So should stop smoking for a little while?
Or maybe it's all in my head like my boyfriend thinks...?
    Or should I stop worrying?
    Or.. or.. or..

Please, could somebody ease my mind?

P.S. Just in case you were wondering, I'm holding
off on doing any psychedelics for a WHILE.

It's just in your head and it's just a trip!

Get that into your head and then the bad trip stuff will exit your cranium :D

I've had five or six bad trips and I've seen some pretty bad shit. Dragons, zombies, demons, fireballs being hurled at me, whatever. After each of these I've been ready willing and able to trip next day if I want to, and I have! I don't let it get to me. Just remember before, after and especially during each trip that it's just a trip. I can't stress that enough. They're just hallucinations. It's just a drug. This mentality is what separates the people who go insane from the people who journey on. Sure, you might have a couple bolts loose but who doesn't? :p

Just see bad trips as dreams. Well, nightmares. They end and you're back in the real world and everything is ok. I'm sure as hell not going to let some stupid nightmare fuck me up, are you?

Once again, the golden rule of tripping is that everything will be okay. No matter what :)

it probably is in your head, but it couldn't hurt to take a break from pot for a couple of weeks. Sometimes I go through phases where pot just isn't as enjoyable as it usually is, so there might not even be a correlaton between the less enjoyable highs and the acid trip. Whenever I go through a phase like that I stop smoking for a few days and its always just as fun as ever when I come back to it.

Has anything else changed at all, i mean besides the bad experience you posted earlier? Still getting the same weed from the same source for instance?

I agree with Meliai, take a break for awhile. You did have a traumatic(maybe you see it differently but its just an adjective i am using) experience with LSD. Its probably some sort of paranoia in your head that your experience is going to some how affect you for awhile, or ever. Don't give this one bad experience so much weight, they happen and we learn from them. Just give yourself sometime to fully process everything, take a break from any mood altering substance for awhile.

Honestly - Acid should not cause nausea. My guess it was something else especially since you have a sensitive stomach. I really don't believe it could be the acid - if indeed it was acid. If you became sick after taking acid, for whatever reason, it could certainly lead to a very rough trip.
I am not suggesting that a 15 year old can take acid on any kind of regular basis. Face it man - 3 years ago you were 12. I have no idea how it might affect a developing brain like yours. At 17 or 18 or 19 I would say go for it. But at 15 please be cautious. Acid can unlock areas of your mind that are hidden which is usually a good thing - some things you need to be able to close at will and I 15 I just don't know.
I like you already - you are thinking - what is good - what is bad. Acid can show you a world of peace and love and togetherness - but you have to keep enough of this world to survive among those who are not enlightened.
Hope this makes sense - I think I am rambling.

About the vomiting, look into LSD and re-birth/psychological birth experience, things like that.

As for the feeling you get when you smoke now, it's probably just anxiety because you're a little apprehensive about altered states now.

I dont smoke weed anymore basically for this reason op but I think you should be alright with a little break from pot as someone suggested.

Salvia also tends to make some people react differently to pot as well but I noticed it in serotenergic hallucinogens like LSD myself.

When i smoke now (or recently) I tend to get light hallucinations and increased amount of paranoia and just nowhere near the same enjoyable pot high that I used to get so I dont think its all in your head in a psychosmoatic sense but I dont think you should be overly concerned with it either.

    You won't like my answers.

You just still don't seem to respect drugs, or pay much attention to what you're doing to your body.

You're 15 and claim to have severe depression. And you take psychedelics? Honestly, what a fucking horrible sounding idea.

You smoke weed every day, at 15, with depression? You should only be having the lightest doses occasionally, for depression, and even less, at 15 with depression.

I would also expect you to know, smoking every day and all, that there are a LOT of people with bad reactions to weed, it's not your bitch, and it won't do what you want, people have full blown panic attacks all the time, even after years of smoking weed, and lots of people who abuse it come to just not enjoy it anymore, even without profound negative effects.

You need to be on top of shit sober, before you start trying drugs....

I don't think taking psychedelics while depressed is a horrible idea. Sometimes what psychedelics reveal can be exactly what someone needs to get through a depression. However, I do agree that at age 15 your brain is too immature to handle it.

It is probably a better idea to stay away from psychedelics at a young age with depression, but there has been quite the success stories of LSD helping folks through their mental issues, because sometimes it really just is in your head. The thought comes first, then the brain reacts chemically to such patterns, when in some people the brain is genetically predisposed to chemical imbalances. If you got sick like you said, you could have way more to do with a pharmacological reaction as opposed to psychological, you could have odd reactions to a wide range of different alkaloids. As for the weed I do think LSD trips can have a lasting effect on your highs, but as for 8 years after the fact, I'm not so sure. As for being able to "handle" weed, it's not necessarily such an easy going drug, I've been so high before I've thought I was crazy, and it's not uncommon for people to have anxiety.

I disagree with you folks. When you're younger your mind is more expansive, more free, your imagination is a million times the size of an "Adult" So that must be the best time to trip. Tripping strips your ego so you become child-like. It gives you that imagination that you've lost over the years. When you get older you realise that the world is a dark, scary place. When you're younger you either don't care or you still believe there's some hope left in it.

I think you guys should focus more on his depression, rather than his age.

Right because the mind magically jumps from the stage of a 15 year old to the stage of a 25 year olds with no development in between.
