Why is it that you can find a Wal*Mart basket like 4 miles away from the nearest store?

because people that shop at wal mart arent the sharpest knives in the drawer.....they generally make poor life[and wardrobe]choices such as stealing carts to take home all the crap they just bought

weird...at the walmart I go to they have some dipshit that lines them up so you have to push the fucking things out of the way to get in the store..I cant stand that and usually send at lest one into whatever shelf is near

I purposely look for the rogue carts and use them

How bout the ones with the fucked up alignment that always want to turn left, they must have been a nascar in their previous life.

hahaha those suck so much! almost as bad as gum snapping. it just grinds my gears.

going back to riding carts...my dad would always yell at me for pushing the cart into the back of his ankles haha.

in all seriousness, often times walmart is one of the only places that those with low incomes can get fresh produce and cheap groceries. grocery chains continue to abandon poorer neighborhoods in favor of upscale areas. also, the poor often do not have cars to toat their groceries home in. they either walk or ride the bus, and you can't carry much that way. the solution? "borrow" a shopping cart so you can get fresh veggies home to your kids instead of gas station or fast food.

Eventually baskets will sound some kind of alarm, like locking carts do at some stores if you don't go through the check out.

Many stores are trying to solve this problem with people taking carts/baskets miles away.

I used to do that constantly when i was a kid, but my parents put up with it. It was either let me push the cart or i would hop from tile to tile trying to stay on only one color, that probably seriously got on their nerves. Me hopping around like brown tiles are evil..:)
