I ask this because I had the misfortune of doing that just now, and my toe still bloody hurts! I thought that pain was supposed to be a natural defence mechanism which was there to warn you against things that you might not want to do, like stick your finger in a pot of boiling oil or touch a nettle. But this whole toe stubbing toe pain mechanism is a bit fucked up methink. I stubbed my toe. I knew immediately that I had stubbed my toe and without even thinking about it had already naturally stopped stubbing my toe, but yet the pain still kicked in and stayed there for a few minutes causing me to yelp a few times and then start whining about why it still hurt for so long. I don't understand why this is. If anyone knows god could they ask him for me please.
I'm figuring it has something to do with "you lose your toe you lose your balance". Your big toe plays a huge role in your ability to walk. Or it might have to do something with a lot of nerve endings in one compacted area....but I'm talking out of my ass now. Good luck on finding the real answer!
I borke my little toe, it was the most painful repetitive thing I ever did. Each time I even brushed that toe against anything it hurt like hell. Nothing to be done I was told, except let nothing touch it for a long time. It healed but it really did hurt a lot.
The Answer To The Question You Pose Is Quite Simple.........> All Us Normal People Have Brains So Large And Developed They Have To Be Located In Our Heads... Yes but no. Pain is pain, pleasure is please. I tend not to confuse the two. It's definitely not broken, but my head feels like it might be :-( I broke my fifth metatarsle in my foot a few years back, and I felt no pain whatsoever.
I kicked the stump of a tree (on accident, naturally) about two months ago. Not broken, but still hurts occasionally. The azns believe in foot therapy and use foot massages as a cure for just about anything.. I might get one, one of these days.
