RooRshack, you'd be surprised how long some of them hide it! And then one day BOOM! But yeah, I'd love to meet some dreadheads where I live. There are quite a few around, but somehow not in my social circle. Very, very sad. That's partially why I look around here from time to time, but it proves to be hard to 'feel at home'.
Meh, fuck em all, you can be at home wether or not people like it:sunny: at least... it USUALLY works for me
Cheers, I absolutely agree in general, but when it comes to communities like this one I find it's a little bit different. I mean, I really have a lot of stuff to do and so don't see the point of spending time somewhere I don't feel quite right. Still can't make up my mind about this forum, love the pics and dreadiness, but just don't feel a part of it yet. I really should stop looking at dreads and start doing some work. Exams next week, blah.
Yeah a girl at school the other day was like "I like the curly bit of your hair that isn't dreadlocky. I like the rest of your hair too though!!" and then a bit later said "...You should brush out the rest of your hair so it goes like that too!! " asssholllle...
Dreads are fucked up looking. If I had dreads i don't know if i'd have expectations about how others should react to me. IS THAT YOUR REAL HAIR? lol... yep.
Vanuka, same here Or they find an old picture of me with my 'normal' hair and say "you looked so good here, I'd love to see you with hair like that!" I look better without dreads though, so I'll give them that. I get asked quite a bit is that my real hair. Also, back home I went to the doctors once (eye problems) and half way through the examination my doctors grabbed my hair and said (and that's where the language difference comes in...) "Do you wash it?" The only thing is that in my language there are actually different words for washing your hair and washing sth mechanically ie. in a washing machine. And she asked using the washing machine expression, clearly meaning that I somehow take it off and stuff it there... I instantly had this vision of my kneeling in front of a washing machine with my dreads trapped inside and being washed... I'd love to see some close up pics of OP's dreads btw!
I'm Surprised Nobody Has Asked Him What Precautions He Takes During The Summer Months When Bush Fire Warnings Are On High Alert........ If I Was Cam I'd Carry A Fire Extinguisher Every Where I Went..... One Carelessly Discarded Ciggarette Butt, And His Ass Is Toast... Cheers Glen.
LOL I love this thread now. Never had that happen, and at the same time I can't see it happening very easily either. I hope so anyway. @ Mirithiar - No one normally feels right at home straight up, but the more you post and get to know others, the more you will. Love to see a pic of your dreads btw! True? Lucky girl
I love this thread too, makes my revision so much more fun Well, I might be the exception proving the rule And it doesn't really matter since I love my dreadies way more than my 'normal' hair. Thanks :] I realise that, that's exactly why I'm still here. And have been here for probably around a year now. Pics of my dreads are going to be posted soonish, because I have just dyed them and need someone to get excited about it Non-dreadheads don't know why I get all happy about matted hair
