Awesome post and I agree and its especially amusing after that thread about salvia possibly having medicinal value.

Salvia should not even be lumped in with this rc 'bath salt' stuff in the first place, that's a pretty sad and disrespectful comparison regardless if you like the drug or not.

As far as the bath salts go, eventhough I have enjoyed them myself having an easily accessible unlabelled mix of mystery white powders is not the best thing to have at a gas station or probably a head shop either. As much as I am against the scheduling its probably inevitable if its producing cocaine/ecstasy like effects.

Ugh. Media attention is exactly what legal highs DON'T need. First the JWHs, then Miley Cirus and her salvia, now this. I think we all agree that designer drugs should NOT be sold in gas stations, but who do we have to blame for such stupid choices? The manufacturers who are out to make a buck, the business owners, the retards who OD and draw media attention or ourselves for posting positive trip reports and such all over the web? I say all of the above.

I can kind of understand banning mephedrone and MDPV (don't agree with it), but not methylone. It's the best legal MDMA alternative out there, and just seems so much more benign than the other cathinones. Better stock up.

Of course drugs shouldn't be sold in gas stations, they should be sold in drug stores.

That logic right there is reason enough for banning it, we have an analog act that any drug that is chemically derived/similar from or produces effects that resemble those of an illicit drug should be treated as such.
