While it is well written, i can't help but feel like it's a bit cliched and tell-y. Instead of just telling us about your search and struggles, show them. Give more detail. Let the reader know what this "search" entails for you personally. It's a good start though, keep working at it!
Most stories are cliche; it's how well it's written that hides that fact. I think showing it is definitely the easiest way to add more spice - but more witty writing could also work. I use this Emily Dickinson poem as an example: I'm nobody! Who are you? Are you nobody, too? Then there's a pair of us — don't tell! They'd banish us, you know. How dreary to be somebody! How public, like a frog To tell your name the livelong day To an admiring bog!
