has anyone seen this movie? its really good if you get the chance, its like, a really weird kind of animation, that, i think resembles human expression very well, and its a really good movie with a good message. its very easy to relate to the main character-- anyway, this is a very good movie to rent if you havent seen it yet--and if you have, id like to know what you thought about it--+peace+--

Waking Life is one of the best animation films I've ever seen. I agree with you when you say it resmembles human expression very well. You meet so many different kinds of people throughout the film. Richard Linklater is a great film writer. I think his best was definitely Slacker.

This is one of my favorites. I think you have to watch it a few times through, just so much is thrown at the viewer.

waking life is just a series of random "high" thoughts and conversations. i found it entertaining and thought provoking, although i think i would have preferred just seeing the actual film version rather than all the overlapped animation (except for when animation was needed, like with the digital clock, etc). richard linklater just tried to mush all of his bizarre ideas into one piece of art, and as mesektet said, it was a noble attempt. my favorite line of the movie comes from adam goldberg, when he sees the old man up on the flagpole. 'he's all action and no theory, we're all theory and no action." classic.
