I'm a person who definitely prefers the sunshine and heat of summer to this cold and snow that is winter. Winter just make me feel gross and pale. I like snow once or twice, but then I wish it would just hurry up and get to be springtime already so I could go outside and enjoy it!

What do you guys do to pass the cold months? Or do you not really care either way about the season?

If I could hibernate, trust me, I would! Crawling in a hole and then coming back out when leaves start coming out on trees sounds like a wonderful plan. I normally don't mind winter this much, but this summer I am going to have a lot more freedom than ever before, so I think that is playing a big role in making me super impatient.

Since I live on the coast the seasons aren't really that different. I actually like winter much better here because during the summer it is always foggy.

I wish we had a more dramatic winters here because I love skiing and snow and cold crisp days.

I really do not care much for cold and snow but I think that is because here our winter just feels far too long. If it was shorter by even two months it would probably be easier to deal with.

By February, I am tired of the boots, hats, mitts and all the rest.

    I am done complaining......sorta. :)

Eat/snort some opiates. They'll keep you warm.

Personally, I much prefer the cold. It's definitely better than sweating my ass off.

See I go back and forth on this. Living in Alabama we usually don't have THAT bad of a winter. However, the winters of '09-'10 and '10-'11 have been the coldest winters on record here and they have SUCKED. March through July and then late September through November is fucking perfect here. August is almost just as bad as a really cold winter, especially when you have a whole week of temperatures close to or over 100ºF and 80% humidity.

I've been getting seasonal blues here for the past two winters. I'm just so ready for spring for several reasons, mainly everything turning green, warm weather, and I'm graduating in May.

Being that it's hot as hell down here 9 months out of the year, I try to get as many outdoor projects done as possible, not working so great this year but that is what I shoot for anyway.

Seeing as I was born and raised in South Florida, it's only cold for a few weeks sporadically from december to february. Even then it barely gets below 50 degrees. Oh well. I prefer the cold, but now when I don't have winter clothes and I have to walk my dog at 5 in the morning in shorts and a tank top. lol

I hate winter and summer. I'm a little bitch when it comes to extreme temperatures. The cold never used to bother me when I was a kid but the past few years I've proven to be a total pansy starting as early as November. I survive the winter by bundling up even inside because my apartment is cold as shit, eat hot soup & oatmeal, drink hot coffee/tea, use the oven to cook more often and leave it running with door cracked (the electric baseboard heaters don't do shit and we don't pay for gas so it's perfect, it's the only thing that actually warms up the apt), take extra long hot showers, wash my hair more often so I have to blow dry it more, try to be active to keep the blood pumping, pile layers of quilts on myself at night and steal some of the boyfriend's body heat, coax 2 or more cats to lay in my lap at all times to keep me warm... how much longer til April...?

I just felt I should add that I fuckin' LOVE LOVE snow... while it's snowing (and of course, only if I don't have to be at work). I love when it snows for hours and hours and it just keeps piling up, I never did get over the anticipation of a snow day from school. But... as soon as it stops I want it all to magically disappear so I don't have to be inconvenienced with digging out my car. It's going to snow all night tonight and I'm off work tomorrow, I can't wait :D

I hate winter with a passion! It affects my mood, the work I would like to do and my finances for heating and related cold weather expenses. As I write this I am holed up in a plant room I built onto the side of my house a few years ago...10' wide 20' long and filled with tropical plants, many of them im bloom. Sometimes I listen to CD's of natural sounds, frogs, crickets, birds. It helps some. Soon as I get my 18 y/o son off to school I'm gonna winter in South America.

I downhill ski/snowboard, and play basketball indoors a lot. It keeps me out of the house and it's great exercise throughout the winter. When i'm at home a TV/Computer screen is usually involved...

I feel way more productive in the winter. I always get all kinds of projects done.... also I love the satisfaction of chopping wood for the fireplace, it really gets the aggression out. I definitely wish there was more of a winter here!
